The event is included in the national calendar of the Italian Athletics Federation.<\/p>\n
17 km along the walls of Verona<\/strong>, touching on the city’s most striking sites.<\/p>\n An exciting route that will wind its way through the streets of Verona’s historic center and its many landmarks and along the hills that close the city to the north, the Torricelle, toresele in Veronese dialect. A combination of history and sport<\/strong>, in an itinerary with paved roads alternating with unpaved sections, steps and paths. A unique test that will take you to appreciate the city of Verona, its monuments and its river.<\/p>\n The event will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024<\/strong>, starting at 8:30 pm.<\/p>\n<\/div> The route fully reflects what are the characteristics of an urban trail<\/strong>: a first part a couple of kilometers long, drawn within the historic center, starting from the Basilica of San Zeno, crossing Castelvecchio and its bridge over the Adige River and ending in San Giorgio in Braida. A second part that will take competitors first through Austrian lasagna, paved with cobblestones and stones with rather steep sections.<\/p>\n A descent through the olive groves in Valpantena towards Quinto will take the competitors on the Castellana, which is traveled all the way to Castel San Felice and then down the outside of the Walls to the Don Calabria opera and back up inside the splendid Walls Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/strong> In the third part of the route, having reached the foot of the imposing Austrian ramparts, a long descent will begin, down to the steps from Castel San Pietro down to the Adige River<\/strong>. In the last part of the route, the lights of the city reflected on the river will accompany you to the magical San Zeno Square<\/strong>, ready to wait for all competitors.<\/p>\n<\/div>
