More than 400 runners have already secured their presence at the “Asics Trail delle Mura” , the great urban trail that will unveil the charms of the city of Verona in a splendid “night” perspective, scheduled for Saturday, September 10, starting at 8 p.m.

Verona Marathon Team organizers have studied every detail to give fans a once-in-a-lifetime event. The start and finish will be set up at one of the most significant points in the historic center, in front of the Basilica of San Zeno, dedicated to the city’s patron saint and a masterpiece of Lombard Romanesque architecture. From there, a truly unique route will unfold to give life to a true urban trail: 17 kilometers along the walls of Verona, touching on the most evocative places in the city.

From Castelvecchio with the bridge over the Adige River, they will reach San Giorgio in Braida, then ride through the Austrian “lasagne,” all cobblestones and stones with steep sections, then the descent into Valpantena, amidst olive trees, toward Quinto. Then the Castellana, Castel San Felice, and the crossing of the Parco delle Mura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. And again, from the Austrian ramparts again down the steps leading from Castel San Pietro to the Adige River, the Torre della Catena and Porta Fura, then the grand finale to Piazza San Zeno.

A real race, included in the national calendar of the Italian Athletics Federation. But also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fully experience and breathe in, on the evening run, the magic of an unparalleled city.

Registration for “Asics Trail of the Walls” remains open online until Wednesday, September 7 at 12:00 noon on the ENDU portal at the following address:
